I see questions on here all the time about "emo kids" what is that???

What started off as a music fad became a way of life for distressed and depressed teenagers. Emo's are really emotional people. They are not Goths, although they are often compared to them. They most often wear punkish/skateboarding/gothic clothing and listen to emo music.

I was wondering the same thing, found out it means some emotional kinda of kid, so...pretty much some wussy kid who cries all day because he's 17 and his life is over...tools.
I must be out of the new loop at age 25 cause I had no idea what it met ether.

It was a type of music and it stands for EMOTIONAL. But now it represents an era of depressed youth that are suicidal and even resort to cutting themselves as a way to deal with the pain in their lives.

Emo means Gothic people like example: people who wear black..or...that have that little white skeleton thingy...so that's my example.so good luck finding your great answer!

Um i don't know myself, my little cousins...(12-18) say that alot...i think it's like a punk rock/skater in one...don't know....
i know they LOVE Travis Barker from Blink 182 and they whare his clothes brand a lot, so I am thinking it sort of is something like his style...
