A sex predator IMmed me this morning, and I want to know where I can report this kind of thing...

Can anyone help me?

Go to www.cybertipline.com to submit your report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. This is a government funded service, and they can route your complaint to the appropriate authorities.

For future reference, it helps if you enable your IM program to save chat logs and NOT delete them when you sign out.
