They couldnt compete with the Playstation 2, xbox and camecube. So now they make games for the other systems. The Dreamcast their last system. It failed mainly because it couldnt play DVDs and the PS2 and Xbox could. Also the games where not as good. They released it too soon and the controllers where too difficult to manage.

After the failure of the Dreamcast, SEGA now makes games for other systems.
For PS3, they have Armored Core 4, Full Auto 2, Sonic, Virtua Fighter 5, Virtua Tennis 3. On Wii, they have Alien Syndrome, Sonic and the Secret Rings, and Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz.

DreamCast was segas down fall. The cost of production , and promotion did match there profit so now they just make video games

It died because of failing brand support -- the DreamCast was its last big name, and unfortunately it was overshadowed by the newly released Sony PlayStation.

I have been wondering that myself. That was the most awesome game. Like everything else it'll probally make a comeback

they're still around. they just came out with another sonic game that totally bombed! (gamespot gave it a 4/10.) i think they're in the process of making a shooter. a violent one at that.

I guess it died out because of the other game systems, but I still have mine and find it easy to buy games in games stores that buy and resell.
