i put in the cd that came with it but i just dont know how to get it to work

Sometimes, depending on the operating system your computer runs on... you do not have to use the cd that comes with the player.
You just plug the the cord into the USB hole on your computer.
Your computer should automatically detect it.
You can then find music from your computer to add to your mp3 player.
If you have music in your library, just find the songs you want and make a list to synchronize.
When the list is full, just push start or start synch or whatever option tells you to go ahead.
That should be it. Unplug it and enjoy your music.

Read the instruction. Must the time CDs have listed a step by step guide for setting things up.

If it still can't figure out post in detail what kind of mp3 plater you have maybe someone here would have the same.

it depends on which usb port that you use i just got a mp3 player for christmas and i had the usb cord plugged in to my front usb port on my computer and my computer did not recognize it so try the usb port on the back of your computer that should help you

you have to create a file then put the music in that file i had to do so for my kids gl plus read the instructions very careful and dont over charge your battery you will experince alot of problems if you do gl
