No, that is beyond rediculous if you are implying that Tiki is intentionally a media hog. He tried to avoid this situation and leave with class like he handles everything. But the crappy New York media preyed on him like the vultures they are.

The Giants lost because
1. Straham got hurt. They havent won a game without him in a year or two (he's a team leader on defense)
2. Mannings are choke artists. Eli is crashing an burning the second half of the season.

But lack of discipline is a giants problem. They led the league in penalties this year and last. If a coach cant even get his team more disciplined than that they'll never have a chance.

Shame for Tiki, actually. He's the only one on the team playing worth a damn, and the giants arent even going to postseason on his last year

Yeah thats right.... Everyone blame Eli.
Eli ELi ELI
He had a decent year and has improved since last year. None of the morons answering here realize that his interceptions are either on a tipped ball, or off the hands of his own receivers. Anyone else notice that other picks come when he's rolling right, because when Petitgout went down, Bob Whitfield cant do anything to block from Eli's left, and just causes personal fouls?

Tiki's talk of retirement caused a stir in the locker room, no doubt about it. But he's not a media hog just because he wants to be part of it when he retires. If anything, he's been the classiest media spokesperson for the Giants.

But The mounting injuries on the team are not helping.

Coughlin has DESTROYED this team single-handedly. THATS where the blame lies. He blames his players for his horrible playcalling, and waits for Week 17 to fire his brainless offensive coordinator.

Hopefully, they WILL overcome.

No, it's the fact that the team is not disciplined. Stupid penalties (headbutting, Bob Whitfield, are you kidding me?), costly turnovers, falling behind early, blowing big leads...that adds up to a lot of losses right there. Tom Coughlin was considered a disciplinarian but you have to consider that he was the coach of an expansion team full of run-of-the-mill players looking for a chance in the NFL. Those were guys that would do anything to win. Not that the Giants aren't that hungry or that desparate - it's just two different situations. It's also the market. Jacksonville is certainly not New York. It'd be nice if the players talked less, though. Between Barber, Burress, Shockey and Strahan you get enough talk to last you a season.

No, but you are right that Tiki is a media hog. Here is a guy who is very lucky to have run behind an excellent offensive line. Without that line play, Tiki would have left football many years ago. He is not a superstar in any sense of the word. He is a good example of a RB who thinks his success is because he has outstanding abilities, when it is the O-Line that usually makes the runner. The Giants have a lot of problems beginning with poor QB play by Manning. He is a very young guy with the right last name who makes a lot of very bad throws. I think this team needs a new coach and several new players next year who can keep their mouths shut and just play football.

No. I am a giant fan and its not Tiki. Its the coaching(and the loss of Toomer) Coughlfin is horrible. John Huffngal is gone. Its COACHING The next coach will be Tim Lewis or Charlie Wies

well i think that its not Tiki hogging the media. He said well before the season to his team that he was going to retire and they played well for the first half. Then the fall from the top.

My reasoning for their fall is Shockey. He's like a TO but he plays a position that its essential for catching passes not dropping them.

Finally DEFENSE where is the defense???
too many injuries plague them overall

No, it is only part of the problem. They have an all star line-up ( I cant believe I said that, i am a Dallas fan) but their couch is an old school hardliner just like Bill Parcells. The difference is Parcells has adapted to he new NFL. Coughlin has not.

Peace,

No, you can't blame one player for the Giants'demise It is a team effort to succeed and a team effort or lack of effort not to achieve. I blame the inconsistent play of the offense (it is not all Manning's fault) and the injury to their defensive leader, Michael Strahan did not help matters.
