is it normal to get your period twice while taking the active birthcontrol pills. im using alesse.

It happens. Call you dr and talk to them about the problem. This was happening to me and they just switched my prescription. Also, if you are having trouble remembering to take it, try to work on that. It can cause problems.

I had that problem when I first started my birth control pills. I had bled unevenly for 2 months then it became normal. The doctor told me it was ok at first. I was taking Alesse for a month then change to Ortho. because I had used it before and felt more comfortable taking it. If the problem does not resolve after initially taking pills first couple of months consult your OB/GYN.

It's probably nothing to be concerned about if you just started the pills. It can take a while for your body to adjust to the new horomones in the pills. However you should probably call the doctor who prescribed the pills and speak with his/her nurse just to be sure. More than likely once you've adjusted to the new cycle set by the pills you will not have this problem again.
