if the train was traveling toward the tornado,he definitely would hear the piercing sound of the loud roaring sound, depending on how big the tornado was,but if it was a very small one it might not,but if the train was stopped somewhere it definitely would hear the tornado no matter how big it was.The engine of a train is very loud but during a tornado the wind and a lot of other changes occur in the weather so sometimes you can tell and sometimes there are loud horns and noises that the train may be able to hear to kind of prepare himself for the dangers.

If the tornado was a large one I believe so. When I was 14 we had a large tornado touch down about 1/4 of a mile from our house, the noise was absolutely deafening. I can't imagine not being able to hear something like that.

If the train was in motion and the Conductor was on board; the conductor probably would not hear the sound the tornado over the noise of the train.

If the train was stopped... obviously the conductor would hear it. However, if it was moving and was the same sound as the train, the tornado wouldn't be heard. It would be like hearing a vacuum cleaner over another vacuum cleaner! It is nearly impossible.

That's easy. He would mistake it for another train.

Now I have a question for you: If the tornado got on the train with him, could he fool it and leave it behind by disconnecting the car it's in?
