According to:

http://www.chicagolandchamber.org/CLA/article.asp?article_ID=73

The total sales tax in Chicago, including state and local taxes, is 9%. (That's a LOT!)

So you'd get a discount of $110 x 10% = $11 off, so your cost before taxes is $110 - $11 = $99.

Then with sales tax it would be:

$99 x 109% = $107.91

10% off of 110 is 11. Your charge will be $99. The sales tax in Chicago is 9%. Therefore, your charge will most likely be $107.91. Of course, you could call the merchant to confirm. They can tell you exactly what it would cost.

I would say if its 110 dollars that if you subtract 10% from total and then add 10% estimated tax that should be close which comes to 110dollars hope this helps.

110-10%discount +10% tax=110 dollars

It will be $99 without tax.

Assuming 7% tax (which is what it is where I am from), the total would be 99 * 1.07 = $105.93

I have a better idea : buy YOURSELF a grammar and spelling book for about 5.00. Spend a little time with it. After a while, when you post ridiculous questions that a third grade student could answer to Yahoo Answers, you won't sound like such an illiterate idiot...
