I once worked at a place where it was not ok to be gay. I am though...anyways, a new girl started, and although she dressed girly, she didn't wear make-up, had funny fashion sense, and wore her keys on a clip around her pocket. Her hair wasn't short, but kind of shaggy and above the shoulders. Not your typical lesbo, but it caught the attention of my gaydar. I think most lesbians don't pay as much detail to fashion as straight girls. That doesn't mean they're gay though...you gotta be careful with "gaydar."
More obvious female things are wearing mens clothes, mullets or very short hair, or those cloth and leather sandles. Also, if two of these women have the same hair and shoes and are together...well, you've got a lovely couple there :)
I love lesbians, and I think all of them are super cute.

There's no such thing as gaydar, but there is a sense that someone can aquire over the course of time of being able to spot certain people that could be gay.
With me, it's like, how someone carries themselves. What people would wear in certain situation, scarves, hats and such. But then again it's impossible to tell with some people. It's easy to spot the stereotypes but apart from that, you're on your own.

My gaydar has no "off" switch and is constantly alerting me to the presence of fellow queens.
It tends to be particularly responsive to the clothes men wear and the way tight jeans caress the parts that count, and goes into full alert if the guy has an obvious interest in the way that he dresses. Eye contact increases the precision of my gaydar tenfold.
As I live in London, my gaydar is always correct if somewhat overworked!!

I've seen some people's body movements be so gay, that you can tell they are gay just by the way they walk even if they don't say one word. Even if the walk sort of normal and they say words a certain way also shows signs of gayness.

First off, true Gaydar DEPENDS on interaction. That is do they look back, for how long, do they turn around to look back again? What are they wearing, did they wink, what were their mannerisms? on and on. Its just not one thing. Often it has to be one thing because they are spotted too far away or don't see you, but then its different.

It's people's narrow minds that think people are gay,yes of course you can tell with some gay people but not all of them, maybe people should stop giving other people labels and get on with there own lifes.

Simple. Carry your ipod, creep up to suspect, give a blast of YMCA, check for involuntary dancing response, usually with slack arm waving. Foolproof.
