The technical diagnosis for one who is suffering from a split personality is dissociative identity disorder (DID). It used to be multiple personality disorder but this was changed in the latest edition of the DSM (the book psychologists use to diagnose patients).

Split personality/DID/multiple personality is **NOT** schizophrenia. They are very distinct diagnoses.

A person that is living a life based entirely on the physical pleasures of the body, self centered and self serving is denying the spiritual side of himself.
We are are split personalities.
One the physical man.
The other the spiritual man.
The conflicts in our lives are often battles between these two entities of ourselves.
