I have lost track of a friend and I am trying to locate him. I know his name (of course) and social security number and that he lives in Kansas City. With that info, how can I find him? I refuse to pay money to some site that says they can locate people.

Try doing a google search for him. Since you know what city he lives in, then you could call directory assistance. I located my father just by googling his whole name in quotes. You could try that. Lastly, you could go to classmates or myspace or facebook and search for him on there.

well there are a bunch of small sites such as whitepages.com where you can just type in names and addresses. When my mom was locating a friend of hers, she found hundred of free search sites. Unfortunately I have no idea what any of them were called.

http://www.privateeye.com/ that might help.
