me her number and said yes. Then she hasn't returned any of my phone calls. Isn't that rude?

Well, it's a little rude, but why are you so angry about it? Disappointed, I can see. Angry? perhaps not. Just go out with someone else.

John,
No you're wrong! The proper etiquette for a man dating a woman is that he ask her out and whether she returns your phone calls or not, it is nothing for you to be upset about. Who do you think she is your girlfriend? Just because she says she would like to date you again doesn't make her exclusive only to you. Maybe she's busy, it's Christmas time people visit other people they go to there relatives. Maybe she's dating someone else (that's none of your business), she has every right to do as she damn well pleases and if you get in touch with her great, if not maybe she doesn't want to date you at all and is trying to politely let you off the hook, in any case get a grip. Go see a movie!

Well how long has it been since you left the messages? If it has been a week or so I wouldn't think it was rude because people are busy these days. Did you do it recently? It is the holiday season and maybe she is traveling to see family. Are you being obsessive about the calls (ie. calling and leaving 3-6 messages or more a day)? If so maybe she feels you are pushing too much. Just give her a little space and time to call you back.

That is very rude however I wouldn't get too upset about it. You will just be wasting energy being mad when you could be out there getting another girl. Leave that one behind and go fishing. Never get hung up on a girl after only one date, they don't become worth it until they either give you a 3rd date or one hell of a memorable kiss.

Ummmm....it's the HOLIDAYS. Do you realize how crazy some people's lives are?

In all seriousness, don't act like a stalker. Don't call her umpteen times. Hold off a month, then call her. If she doesn't return your call, you have your answer. But it's nothing to get mad about. That means she's just not into you, and she was just trying to let you down easily.

yes. very, at the least she could have told you some excuse and let you down easy. But she may have not wanted to be confronted and simply is ignoring you in hopes that you will give up on her, eventually forget her, and move on. And that, my friend, is precisely what you must do. Plenty of nice single ladies out there for you to choose from!
Good Luck

How long have you been waiting for her to call back? How many times have you called her? She might just want to play hard to get and wait a day or so. If you've been calling a ton of times, she may put you in the stalker category. Just relax and move on...if she's interested she'll call you back.

Do you have a lot of experience with women? They do this all the time. It means that she is not interested in taking things further with you. Stop calling her or you'll make a fool of yourself. Just a hint - if you don't call her, she will probably call you!

it is rude but in this day and age you never know what someone will do when rejected,,they may give you a quick back-hander for all you know. put it down to experience but you dont have the 'right' to be mad,,narked by her rudeness yes,,but not mad,,it is this behavior she may have wished to avoid.

Of course it's rude. The least she could have done was say she's not interested anymore, or that you don't have as much in common as she originally thought, etc.

forget her. she needs to grow up first.
