I have verizon dsl with a router that works on main pc. A wireless laptop that also works. I need a scecond pc to get online. it is hardwired to router (under 100ft and cat5e). I get messages" limited or no connectivity to internet". I can ping the router just not past it. Is there a security code in ther router? Verizons tech are in India and they couldnt get it to work. any suggestions?

It may be that your ip gateway is not set properly.
Click the start button, select run.
type cmd and press enter.
at the prompt type ipconfig and press enter.
compare the results between a computer that works and one that doesn't.
If they are set the same, then the router is not allowing the 3rd computer through.
What kind of router is it?

You get that message when there is not enough Internet supply left for you. That means other computer's are using yoru internet, now it may be yours or other people lliving next to you. But if there is a SSD code on it, then the problem is that the computer is trying to figure out the code it's self. But it shouldn't. Start > control panel > netwrok connections > wireless network > repair.

You may have to add the MAC address of the new PC to the valid list in the router.
