Has anyone heard of getting a yeast infection about a week or so before your period? This can't be normal. I have a doctor's appt next week and will be talking to him about it, but I was just curious. Maybe someone knows the cause of this as well

I'm sure it's not uncommon when your internal chemistry experiences it's monthly changes.

I used to get yeast infections all the time. Now I make sure I eat yogurt everyday or take acidophilus (the healthy bacteria found in yogurt).

The infections have tapered off since introducing acidophilus to my diet.

I am not sure if it is cycle related, it may be, I noticed the same problem but eventually figured out that the infections were being caused by the lubricant I was using during sex. Since then I have changed brands and so far no recurrences. Good luck and hopefully the doctor gives you an answer you can use!
