Agreed - I am not gay but am often baffled by homophobes who seem to think about gayness more often than gay people.

Good call. I'd rather stay away, but whats weird is that when you get to the end of the questions in the Religion and Spirituality section, it dumps you right into the gay/lesbian section.
I don't like it anymore than you do. I feel like heaving.
Athiests are in the religion section constantly - I wonder if they are being dumped into it by the computer, too. I don't know.
But I enjoy having them visit.

Ignorant hate filled individuals, or perhaps they are in the closet and are suffering from self hatred. I agree if they are homophobic they should not even come to this section and answer any questions. However, they have the choice to go where they want and share and spread their hatred. It must really suck to be so hate filled imagine their daily lives are torture. I don't hate anyone, I believe everyone desires and deserves respect. God bless****

Because we're an easy target. If we ignored them all they might go away (AS IF!)
The same is true of Religion and Spirituality and a few other categories.
Simple people are easily amused and just like pulling the wings off a fly, they get their amusement on here by typing abuse or seeking to reform us from our wicked WICKED ways (LOL!)

It's their job.
It's what they've been taught to do.
In their circles, they get acknowledged for doing it and encouraged to do more of it.
Some are fundamentalists and some are from the Nazi websites.

Because they themselves are often gay. They are frightened of their homosexuality and feel the only way to "rid of it" is to degrade and insult those like themselves.
