tounge piercing?

i really want my tounge piercing but i am worried about the pain and not being able to eat afterwards. anyone got any sensible advice?

The pain is minimal...less than when you accidentally bite your tongue.
You should minimize any activity that requires your tongue (eating, talking, drinking, smoking, etc.) so that you don't aggravated it while it's healing. The happier you keep it, the sooner and more painlessly it will heal. You'll notice I said "minimize"...that's because you can't simply stop eating, drinking, etc. altogether...you just have to think about it more carefully for a few days.
For eating, you want to stick with liquids or mooshy things that require minimal chewing for the first few days (at least 3) so that you don't aggravate it. Otherwise, it gets sore and swollen quickly and makes for an unhappy tongue.

Other than that, it heals quickly, and shouldn't give you much problem.

i got my tongue pierced and it didn't hurt when they did it. They sprayed Listerine on it and that made it kind of numb. It did swell up after and i couldn't eat for a day or two, I was able to talk but i had a lisp.. GET IT, if you really want it and eat some soup or yogurt when your hungry. Honestly i didn't think it was that bad. I've had it for about 5yrs

I have had mine done for almost 4 years. It didn't hurt at all when i got it done but my tongue did swell for two days and i could eat i just had to be careful to not bite my tongue.. I would say go for it. I used the green listerene and was told thats why mine was so swollen, so use the plain and mix it half and half with water.

dont do it! it very painfull, u wont be able to eat for weeks,unless your other half has asked u to have it done to make u better in bed???

don't do it. you'll regret it later on... and i'm sure it's very very painful.
