I work at a company inbound telephone sales company and i'm to nice passing people on to tech support for free. How do i suck it up and just make myself stop being so nice and mentally toughen up?

theres nothing wrong with being nice in your mind you know that charging themis wrong and you are just obeying your natural instincts, the only answer is change your job to something you are comfortable doing.

Think of it this way, how many people give you a break? Do you get things for free on a regular basis, I can bet the answer is no. This is your job, do not lose it for someone on the other end of a phone that you do not know. These people pay for a service, which in turn provides you with a job and paycheck.

god, just say NO. dont feel bad about it, just make your voice real harsh and say Im sorry. But no. and then make yourself a cup of strong coffe and try again, its a matter of practice, youll get used to it
