Whether it be in person or on the internet, such as Y! Answers?

Is there a reason or is it just "well, we met this person, and that's that"?

What do you think?

Oh, yes, Oh, yes, yes, yes.
It's so funny that you ask such a question. In Japan there is this concept called "en." It's symbolized by a circle - what goes around comes around, everyone is connected, six-degrees, small world.... whatever you want to call it.

My life has changed dramatically over the last year because of the people I met. If I look back in retrospect, I can see the chain of people... this guy I met at a Halloween party introduced me to a girl who works in the industry I wanted to, she introduced me to a representative company, that company gave me my first job where I met who was to be my boyfriend, and after we broke up he let me work with him...

...only to discover that he worked for the person I came to Japan to meet.

How's that for serendipity.

Everything happens for a reason. The people we meet are the ones that are suppose to make us think, to revive your spirits or to help us realize who we are as a person. No matter where it is that we meet these people they all have a certain place in our lives, whether it be a small place for just an hour or a big place for the rest of our lives. They all have some kind of an impact. Even if it's somebody we don't like we know and automatically think "i never want to be like that."

You ever see a person in the store struggling to reach something or find something? Did you help them? You met that person...you proved yourself to be a compassionate person. As small as that.

Well, I personally think there is a reason for everything or everyone that comes into our lives. Sometimes we dont find out till too late what the reason was and we either miss the chance of a lifetime or get burned and learn from our mistake.

I think yes, sooner or later, something, anything related to meeting that person has some effect in your life, maybe will be just a little effect in your life and also, if you do not consider any effect, might as well be that it was your turn to "touch" that other person's life.
It's just my point of view based on personal experience.

Yes, it is because of two people occupying a nearly similar space at approximately the same time.

I think there's always a reason people come into each other's lives on any level.

Nothing is coincidence, but don't look too much into things....life comes at you fast if you don't stop to look around it'll pass you by..
