they shot movie 2 (dead man's chest) and 3 (at world's end) back to back. they are in the process of filming right now and are about two-thirds of the way finished.

Ahhh... Pirates....I love these movies!!
Yes, they filmed Part 3 (At World's End is the supposed title) at the same time they filmed Part 2.....It's supposed to premiere Memorial Day Weekend (May 25). We'll be at Disneyland that week and will be able to catch the premiere at Disneyland on Wednesday May 23 if all goes to plan!

What I heard was that they filmed 2 and 3 together and that 3 was going to be released about a year and a half after the 2nd. Maybe sooner, but that's just rumor.

Yes. They producers worked overtime to film both movies simultaneously, which is why the second installment left one most feeling like they just sat through a bunch of filler.

i'm not sure but in the summer they were looking for more backround pirates. So they are probably in the middle of it or something.
