I own the above pub in North Yorkshire & have been told someone is writting a book on its history?? Anyone know anything about it?

Is this the Frankland Arms in Ingramgate in Thirsk ? I remember this being a nice friendly pub when I went there around a year ago - I was told that it was due to be refurbished in 2006, so I guess you're the new owner......congratulations.

I can't answer your question, I'm afraid, as it is difficult to know of works in progress until they are registered with, or commissioned by a publisher - but I would suggest you contact either your local CAMRA branch or local historical society.

PS - You will no doubt be aware that there are photos of your pub on the internet, but nothing I can find easily that gives any history - can the brewery or previous owner help ?
