Did talktalk broadband crash Christmas day?

Christmas day my broaband talktalk would not connect and gave the reason code 608 'no dialing tone' tried 26th Dec all ok ?

If you're not happy with them, switch to BT... It is scandalous that a telephone company should crash on the one day in the year when people want and need to talk.

I believe it did crash or they would say an overload
