Doesn't have to be an ex- but someone you really liked ages ago and still can't help but think of them and wonder "what if?"

yes I actually do often times.
I wonder what it might have been like and then have to let it go
The what ifs in my life are plentyful and I wish sometimes I could let them go. Many of them are quite powerful as I have had my fill of mistakes but I guess through all the learning lessons I am hopefully growing up.

yes. there is always that someone (most times it is never the person that you end up marrying) that
-makes your heart skip a beat (or two) if you see them,
-wanders into your thoughts at the wierdest mont even though you have not seen them in years
-a sweet memory would pop out of nowhere, etc
For me- it is the first guy i had sex with. we don't see or communicate with each other all that much anymore but every few months one of us would pick up the phone to say 'howdy'. i think about him sometimes and i would like to believe he thinks about me too.

YES! Once someone gets into your heart, they will almost always be there even if you move on to someone else. People affect us in different ways and I still have residual albeit potent essenses of them surging through my veins. I accept it. I wouldn't want to delete them from memory. But I don't obsess over them either.

I have more than several. Some I'm still in contact with and some I'm still looking for. I've never really talked about "what if" with anyone I'm still in contact with though. For the most part our lives have turned out the way they turned out and that's about it.

my god always and its freaky cuz i still dream about him, he was my crush for 3 years in highschool and now its been 7 years since i have not heard or seen him cuz i got married and moved away but i always have dreams about him and i always have the what ifs, i still wish i could have him see me or i tell him what i felt about him back in school, i just wish for that little moment but hey nuthin wrong with dreamin its the closest thing i will ever have

no i dont i just find someone eles to be with and be with him and think of the one you are with not your passest thats what i do an you shood do the same

yes, from time to time. i play "what if" game. i don't think it'll turn out the way i've imagined it. but i love the game.
