The easiest way to create a website is to use Macromedia Dreamweaver or Microsoft Frontpage. You just need to type or add whatever you want to put on your website. I am using Dreamweaver at the moment and it is very easy to use. By using this software, you may upload your website to the Internet by FTP. But first of all, you need to apply for webpage space on geocities.com or somewhere else. You may also obtain your own domain name.

It is not that easy, you can probably get something published using Frontpage as it has some easy tools for you to use on it that will allow you to get something on the net. I would start with that perhaps some of the site templates they have as a start.

Always save a page with a second copy before publishing it as it will save you a lot of hassle down the road when things don't look like you want them to online.

Good Luck

Create your website in Mozilla NVU, as it meets the real web standards.

To lock it down, run your website in a server on GNU/Linux, like Microsoft does, on their 45,000 servers, for Hotmail.com (since 1997), MSN.com, and Microsoft.com!

And, for your hardware firewall/router, run http://ipcop.org on an older computer, that is 133Mhz up to 833 Mhz... Those all will help you to run safe, secure!

Hosting your own website is cool, and you remain in total control!

bravenet.com is a good site and it converts everything into html for you. If you know how to write html, then go to google.com and search "web hosting" and you have to purchase your domain name (yoursite.com) and go from there. Otherwise i would use bravenet.com so you dont have to worry about the format of your site, its very user friendly!
