There is a muslim girl in my school and nearly everybody hates her. They call her a terrorist and make fun of her and her religion.
She wears a scarf and she is really beautiful. She keeps herself to herself. When people say something to her she smirks and walks off. I dont think she has told anyone about it. Recently a girl pretended she was interested in her religion so she invited her over to her house. The girl got hold of her pic (without the scarf on) somehow and she and her friends got her head and stuck it on a naked womans body and publically humiliated her. Everyone was laughing at her and i could tell she was hurt. People call her ugly, dont know why because she is really pretty. I want to talk to her but i dont know what to say. What should i do? No rude comments please.

Being an American Muslim who embraced Islam, i too found people of ignorance at all levels. This is really sad that people are so scared to do something good, so they turn to hurt or do bad. In cases like this, sometimes it could be best to do nothing. Other times an apologies work out. But in the future, to all, if you know that someone is being bullied, it really is NOT right to just watch, turn around and pretend to not see anything. Sometimes you have to stand up for what is right. Remember those after-school specials, no one wanted to be caught dead watching them, but really they were good advice on what teens are dealing with. Thank you for feeling bad. Not all Muslims are bad, not call Christians are bad, sometimes you do find a bad apple among others. This is not the religions fault but the person themselves. God does not teach to do bad. Everyone has a choice to make, good or bad, it is up to you to do what is right. For the Muslim girls who do get hurt. Patience. So what can you do, be yourself, tell her that you did not agree with what had happened. This form of Harassment is NOT acceptable. Does not matter if you wear a veil or not. We are still human beings.

Really terrible what these people do. Just tell her that you hate what these people do and that you know that she is not a terrorist or whatever they say, and if you can then do this in public and stand up to these people. I know that this is difficult, but it is the right thing to do here. It should also be an issue for your teachers.

just say hi to her and tell her how bad you feel about what those other bitches did to her, and respect her for being able to sick it out.
