Chiropractor, with strong training in sports medicine and therapy.
I had similar problem when training for marathon. Regular MD was no good for me. Told me to ease up, take pain pills. Chiropractor cured me with just a couple treatments.

It depends on the type of injury. Physical Medicine or Orthopedics would be a good start. If you haven't had a diagnosis yet you can start with your primary physician. You may need to be refered.

I would recommend an orthopaedic surgeon as their specialty is the musculoskeletal system. They may prescribe an anti-inflammatory medication or refer to physical therapy. A therapist can show you exercises to strengthen your hip and thigh muscles.

An orthopedic doctor or a physical medicine doctor, both are M.D.'s and can help you a great deal.
