Is Sir Mix-A-Lot's "Jump on it" a cover?

I heard it on that Planters peanuts commercial but the words didn't sound like Mixalot or the Jump on it lyrics

In 1996, Sir Mix-A-Lot played off of the lyrics to Sugarhill Gang's "Apache" in his hit version of "Jump on It". You're right in a matter
of speaking, because of the lyrics he is referring to.
