A few months ago I met this really gorgeous guy, at the mall that I worked at I didn't make any kind of move because frankly that is not how I am, anyway he started flirting with me. So I started flirting back. Eventually I gave him employee discounts on items that he bought. Eventually I decided to stop giving him discounts to see if he was only flirting with me because of that, even when I stopped giving him discounts he still flirted with me. Anyway four months after meeting him the mall that I worked at caught fire and I was out of a job. Three weeks later while filing out a job application at another mall he showed up. We chat alittle bit about my last job and some other stuff. Then he said he had to go, I gave him my phone number and told him to keep in touch. Two weeks passed he never called. One day I saw him and I called out to him he turned around said hey and walked off. I haven't seen him since. Can anyone help me to understand why would he do that.

This guy gets an ego boost with the flirting and attention, saves a little cash on the discounts and then when push comes to shove he moves on to another game. You don't need someone like this in your life. You're probably fortunate that there was no sexual encounter since this is the type of guy who will milk you for all it's work and then break your heart. Of course if you were just looking for sex that heart breaking may not be an issue. Move on with your life.

Well he does sound liek he was interested in you... maybe during the time that you two weren't talking, he met someone and between the two weeks when you gave him your number and saw him again he got serious with the guy. So to avoid a problem he just kinda let it go I guess. Sounds sucky but it makes sence...

He thought you were a nice guy and flirting is just that flirting (plus what YOU think is flirting he may not think is flirting) it doesn't mean much of anything - - but he was not really INTO you romantically. He gave you a pretty clear sign.

Didn't you ask a question a few months back about how you could ask him out and find out if he was gay?

He sounds like a jerk and a user. He probably habitually flirts with the clerks to see what he can get out of it. If you had to give him your phone number without his asking you for it, then he probably had no intentions of ever calling you anyway.
Move on---he isn't worth the effort.

I agree with KIP. The "feel better" answer is that he may just have been busy or with friends that do not know he is gay. The "real" answer is like KIP. I recommend you find someone that you can connect with, and have a great time doing so.

i had something similar happen to me. I wouldnt think too much about it..maybe he just found a boyfriend or something. I would just find some other hottie and move on...guys can be real dick heads..just part of life...or maybe he just didnt think he was as good as you and didnt wanna look like a fool...just forget it..hope it helps

it sounds like he was interested, but maybe found some one and does not want to get close to you and mess up his feelings he has now for someone, maybe he may feel if he talked to you now ..he may not be able to stop
maybe he will come by again, just ask him why..you just keep walking away...is I say something wrong and see what he says to you...

Maybe he lost your phone number. Maybe he was around someone who didnt know he was gay when you saw him last, so he had to avoid you. Maybe he simply thinks youre cute, but after speaking with you he realizes that you arent his type. Maybe maybe maybe.
