I'm a late comer to the "24" phenomenom - I began to catch the reruns on A&E a couple months ago. Then, I found the seasons on sale at different times at Target, and have been watching 4/evening and currently am into season 3.
I don't know how well I'll do with being patient week to week when the new season starts, guess, I'll just have to tough it out.
As for the reality based viewing audience - yes, the whole Jack Bauer/24 hour thing is a stretch - but, it's fiction. Please tell me people don't watch "The Sopranos" any of the "CSI's" or even "Two and a Half Men" expecting reality. We accept a certain degree of poetic license when watching "entertainment" TV.

The first season was wonderful, but this is one of those shows that should have ended there. The idea of one man having multiple days in his life on which so many things happen is just stretching it way too much to hold my interest.

I think Kiefer Sutherland is great on the show, but I'd really like to see the concept change and move away from the "this ALL happens within 24 hours" format. I might start watching more than just sporadically again if that happened.

I think the idea was original but i couldn't get into it.Waiting week after week for the next " hour " just got boring.....and the story, like watching paint dry.
