You can find at stores like RadioShack a cable that has two "male" ends of headphones. With these you can plug one end into your mp3 player's headphone jack, and the other end into either a set of speakers or a boombox's input jack of the same size. For example, on many iPod Radio devices (the ones that allow you to plug in your iPod into to listen to it over a set of speakers) have an extra port called the Aux (or Auxillary) port that can accept these kinds of input.

Additionally, speakers that use a USB cable (as long as they don't require drivers) or use a headphone-type jack will work. You can also buy a headphone splitter cable so each of your friends can listen on their own headphones, though that might be slightly inconvenient.

You have to get powered external speakers.

Logitech makes a nice setup for Ipods, but there are many generic brands out there that either run on DC current or batteries, that plug in to the ear phone jack.

Some external speakers that connect into either the headphones or USB connector slot would work. Or, you can connect it to a computer and stream it through a media player.

I've never tried it, but plugging some speakers into the headphone socket might work. Or if it's an ipod, you can get docking stations to use it like a hi-fi.

You get an iPod speaker, or, if u can, play it in your car, or get an iDog. I sujest you go to sharper image for this stuff because they have all the iPod speekers, and there are hundreds of different iPod speekers at sharper image. Also, that's where u can get the iDog too.
