The Fed will be closed - including: New York Stock Exchange, The Federal Reserve (all banks and Bond Market), post office, schools, basically everything except retail. A National Day of Mourning for a former President is the equivalent to New Years Day, Presidents Day, MLK, 4th July, etc. Trust me, I know....

June 9 was when Reagan was brought to town and they had all the hoopla on the way to the Capitol. It was unscheduled leave for the government that day. June 11 was the funeral procession to the cathedral. The feds DID close that day.

All government offices except for those responsible for national security will be closed. Fed reserve banks will be open. Post offices will be closed. Major stock markets will be closed. I believe local banks will be open, but not sure.
