Your RAM is cleared every time you reboot your computer. Data in RAM does not survive turning off the power. This is why you can lose a document that you haven't saved: it's only in RAM, not on a disk.

Installing more RAM is easy. Just get a RAM chip of the right type for your computer, and of the desired capacity, open up your computer, and put the chip in the appropriate slot on the motherboard.

RAM is cleared everytime you reboot. But, on the other hand if you want to clean your ROM or hard drive, now that's a whole other process.

RAM is always clean... its just there so it could do your process them it doesnt hold anything... thats why RAM stands for Random Access Memory, you mean your hard drive.... just format it, no software needed, go to my computer then click on your drive C: (or whatever it may be) and click format, and fallow the instructions, easy foo ^_^
