But you need to APPLY for a work VISA to stay in the United States. Most employers won't hire you without a VISA, and some will only hire US Citizens due to their own company policies. It will be harder for you to get a job in the US without citizenship, but you CAN'T get a job at all without at least a work VISA, and you need to apply for one.

You will need to apply for a work VISA to work (temporarily) in the USA. This will not allow you to stay in the USA forever, only for a few years. The only way you can stay forever is to immigrate here, legally, by obtaining a Green Card.

Or you can just do what the Mexicans do: come here illegally and use a fake/made-up social security number to get a day job (let the poor sap who's social security number you stole pay for it all later when they find out), keep all your money and don't pay taxes, get on welfare and collect more free money, get free healthcare by going to the emergency room and saying you dont have insurance and that you're not a citizen, and all those other cool things that cost US taxpayers BILLIONS of dollars every year =) Enjoy!

You have to have a working permit to show you are not in our country illegally. Without that a good job will be hard to find. Apply for your green card or working permit. Go to an employment agency. They can point you in the right direction.

It means, you are there on a tourist VISA ands therefore could not be legally admitted for work there. If you have a working VISA, then there would be no problems.
