I have Comcast Cable and Internet. The internet piece is fine and the cable piece is fine as well. The issue I have is with the On Demand piece. If I scroll through the movies or television section, it says "One Moment Please" for at least two minutes then the box will turn off automatically. When I call Comcast, their customer service people are SO rude that I want to change providers. The problem is that Comcast is the only service provider in my area. Anyone else experience problems with On Demand through Comcast?

More than likely your problem is one of three things, you either have a low signal on your incoming cable line, your box was never put in comcasts system correctly when it was installed, or your have a bad box. The only thing you can do yourself is try to find the diagnostics screen on your guide for your box and check to see if the box is active on their network (should say interactive or broadcast). If it says broadcast they don't have you on the network right. The other two problems would have to be resolved by a technician actually coming to your home and testing the line or exchanging the box. Good Luck.

Aaaaah Comcast...they are peaches aren't they? Bunch of idiots...the lot of them.

The On Demand feature is usually impacted by your signal strength from their satellite. I happen to live next door to Comcast and my strength is awesome. My friend that is sort of in the middle....has the same issues you are describing.

Comcast told her it was the amount of digital boxes she has......she has 3 in her house.

Comcast sucks hard....you are going to have to keep calling to find a customer service rep that gives a crap that day that will really take it upon themselves to resolve this issue. If not consider switching to DirectTV.

No, but I do use Comcast for broadband internet and basic cable. I agree that their customer service is substandard and basically I found to get any help is to make demands and speak to managers instead of asking questions and speaking to your first level customer support representative.

I have this problem once in a while. It only happens on one cable box, and that box has a problem with the incoming cable. I haven't bothered to fix it because I don't use it often.

Maybe you have a similar issue?
