Can anyone tell me why they haven't aired a new Top Chef in 2 weeks? Last week they showed the episode of the week before and yesterday they were showing reruns of last season. I only watch the channel it comes on for that particular show so I haven't heard why they haven't aired a new episode. Also does anyone know when a new episode will air?

The series continues with new episodes on Jan. 3rd. Like a lot of other shows, they took a "holiday break" and didn't put on new shows over the holiday time -- notice all of the big network prime-time shows have also been re-runs during this period...
Jan. 3rd at 10PM (9 central) is the next new one.
I've already set my TiVo to record it :)

They are milking their advertizing dollar from a top show. People like me do not know the new show is not on and end up watching a marathon of last season. Last season was so much better anyway. The chefs of last season just seemed more tallented and the challenges were more interesting. Anyway they did this with project ruway and it is the same makers. They stop the season midway and then make us keep tuning in to watch something and the advertizing dollar is stretched because people want to see a new show. It will return sometime after the holiday when they will give us the remaining episodes. It is so frustruating when they do that. I hope they choose better contestants next season because these people were just not as interesting or dynamic as last season. I liked Harold, Dave, Lee Anne, Miguel and (Tiffany Not). People like Tiffany make a mockery of a show because they show that poor sportsmanship and lying are a not important. In real life these things do matter.

New episodes will start again next Weds.
The reason they've been showing repeats is probably for the same reason a lot of other shows show repeats at this time of year - people are busy with Christmas activities or want to watch Christmas specials, so they don't "waste" new shows at a time when fewer people are likely to see them.

I don't know why they aren't playing any new ones right now, but I think next week will be a new one.
