Ginger helps a lot. Ginger pills can be found on the vitamin aisle and are not harmful. Try keeping ginger snaps around to munch on too...just make sure they actually contain ginger.
It also helped me to eat sour things. I kept Altoid Sours on my desk and squeezed lemons over almost everything I tried to eat.

Morning sickness can last the whole pregnancy . Its terrible. I am 26 weeks along and still dont feel great, but for the first 20 weeks, I was miserable. Sick 24/7 , couldnt get up, nothing worked to help me. I was first prescribed Phenergan, then Zofran. Still didnt do great. So not much may help her. I am opposite of what alot of people say. I had to eat something sweet or eat a big breakfast to feel ok. If I ate small frequent meals, I still got sick. Lots of mints and sweets helped , graham crackers did great but only very temporary.. Saltines , dry toast , cereal all made me sicker. So it just depends on her. Ask the dr for some help. I tried everything. Sea Bands from the drug store, B6 vitamins, all the normal stuff they say to do, etc etc.... Doubt if I helped any but for some women theres not much you can do. It may not go away completely but it will tone down some. Sorry she is so sick.

When my morning sickness was awful, I found that a little candy in the morning would make me feel better enough so that I could actually eat. So the first thing I ate was usually a twizzler or two or a gumdrop (something chewy, not hard). and then some warm decaf tea. THen I could usually have a bowl of cereal or cream of wheat or oatmeal.
Morning sickness is the pits. you really can't do anything much about it. Just try to be supportive when she is feeling yucky. When she gets over it, she'll be much more back to her normal self. And you get brownie points for being a good husband! :)

Saltines in the morning before she even gets out of bed. It also helps to eat small amounts throughout the day. If she really can't keep anything down then the doctor will usually prescribe phenegran. She should be getting some relief now that she's entering the 2nd trimester. And I know it may sound crazy, but I think that a positive attitude works wonders. You sound like a great husband for being so supportive.

OMG.. .OK.. When I was pregnant I had a condition called Hyperemesis Gravidarum. PLEASE look it up! It sounds like what she may be going through ( I pray she is not)
This was with my last two pregnancies, I was constantly nauseated (literally 24/7...never ending) I vomited easily 10-15 times an HOUR... day and night. I lost so much weight, was so dehydrated. If this sounds like her, you need to talk to her doc. Ask for Zofran. It is a wonder drug. Don't let them mess around. They may try some others, but you will know within the first day or two if they are going to help. DON'T LET THE DOCTOR TELL YOU NO. If she has what I had, it is a living H E L L (Pardon my language.. I know no other way to explain it) PLEASE have her contact me. I tried all the home remedies, and nothing worked. I continuously lost weight, I had to go for IV fluids almost daily.. I am going to edit this to add some links.. so If when you read this and there are no links.. please check back.. I am getting them now.. I know what your wife is going though... basically what you can do is be there for her. IF he wants you to rub her back, do it, if she wants you to just not touch her.. listen (but please don't take offense! What she is going though is torture!)
Unfortunately I had mine until I delivered... But please, for your wifes sanity PRESS THE ISSUE WITH HER OB/GYN! They are so used to people exaggerating syptoms they are not sure when its the real thing!

I understand her misery. I looked up all sorts of remedies on the internet, and everything I tried did not work. However, they might work for your wife because everyone responds to things differently. Have soda crackers and a glass of water next to the bed for her every morning. It helps to have a little something in your stomach before getting out of bed. Also, ice chips, Preggo pops, ginger pills, sour candies, toast, Sprite, 7-Up, or ginger ale are supposed to help. Peppermint always did me in, even if it was mint flavored toothpaste! Try to keep overwhelming scents out of the house. Obnoxious smells seem to make it worse. If all else fails, have her call her Ob-Gyn and ask to be prescribed something for the nausea. Mine gave me this off-brand stuff called Promethazine. It makes you very sleepy, but it does help with the sickness. There are two others her doctor could give her, one that costs the same as the Promethazine and one that is super expensive. Anyhow, I hope you find something that works because it is very disheartening to have to be sick every day. Good luck!!

With my second pregnancy nothing (and I do mean nothing) helped. It was like seven months of having the flu.
But with my first, as long as I did not pick my head up or move it in the least when I first woke up, then I had a fighting chance. This was hard to train myself to do, because you usually move around before you even realize you are awake.
But, when I caught onto it, I would wake up and lie very still, not moving my head at all. Then, with a lot of help from my husband, he would go get some juice and a straw and some soda crackers. I would move hold the crackers in my mouth until they dissolved enough for me to swallow them and I'd sip the juice. I would even lift my head for about five minutes, and then very, very slowly. When upright, I would sit on the edge of bed, not moving for about five minutes. Only then would I venture into the bathroom to get ready. If I built extra time into my morning routine for this and never had to rush, I could control it, believe it or not. Bless you for caring about her feeling yucky. Not every man does.

Mint gum helped a lot. There's something called PregoPops that are supposed to alleviate morning sickness... some of them worked, some were too sweet and made me feel worse. The one thing that helped the most was Vitamin B6, 25MG 3 times a day, and eating around the clock, small snacks, instead of big meals.

how sweet of you to be this concerned. i know the pregnancy books recommend it, but try making her a cup of ginger tea - herbal only, so there is no caffeine. or, you can try putting a quarter sized slice of ginger into any food. also, waiting for your food to cool off before you eat helps - so there is little or no odor. eating several small snacks/day instead of three big meals will help, and always having a little something in her stomach will make a big difference. if she gets too full or too empty, that's when the sickness is worse. and, she is 3+ months, so she's almost out of the worst of it - just try to be supportive, and hopefully she will be out of the morning sickness phase soon.
best wishes to you both! (or to all three of you!!)

i have been dedaling with hyperemesis gravidarum, its no fun being pukey.
few things that might help her
take Vit C with B6,
peppermint or ginger tea or in capsules
fennel tea
accupuncture
seabands(based on accupressure points)
never getting hungry, eat something, even jsut a couple crackers every 2 hrs and when she wakes up at night.
benadryl and doxylamine(in unisom) are considered safe. in Canada they have diclectin by prescription for morning sickness, its doxylamine, available OTC in the US(main ingredient in regular unisom.
