i know this might be silly.. but i'm not familiar with dollars since i'm not American. i got my money exchanged for a dollar and i'm quite doubtful if it's real. does the twenty dollar really have "twenty USA twenty USA" written on the right side of it?

yup its real!hehe.. there's a thread running along at the left side. is the 2001 edition still valid in the US?

The new ones do. Can you describe it a bit more?

Hold it up to the light. There will be a security thread running through the bill in the left side (assuming you are looking at the front).

They never expire. It is good now and will be forever. Or at least as long as the country doesn't fall apart.
