Talk to someone you trust, preferably someone who has children herself. Find help with the baby's care if you don't have enough. Babies can be overwhelming and they are very needy, but at the same time you are learning a completely new way of life yourself, and you have needs, too, which are often overlooked because the baby's needs do come first.
You should talk to a doctor or professional if you think that your thoughts can get out of hand, that you can't control yourself. Otherwise, know that many women handle the new stress differently, and having bad thoughts doesn't mean that you will act them out. It also doesn't mean that you are a terrible person, but that you are overwhelmed and you need something! You may or may not know what it is -- either way, work on getting your needs taken care of as much as possible so that you can be nurturing to your baby.

Really, the only option is to get some medical help for yourself. For the safety of your baby, this is the only thing you can do.
If you have post-partum depression, it can turn much worse and you may hurt your baby and not even realize you are out of control.
Please seek some help. You are a good person for doing that. It means you care about your baby. Ignoring it will only make things worse for you. It is common and you can get medication. You'll feel better and you'll enjoy being a mother more.
Take care.

That is not abnormal to have those thoughts. A certain percentage of mothers do. Immediately make an appointment with your doctor, any doctor, general physician or gyno and they will prescribe something for you to helpyou through these times. Please don't wait, expecially if you are having thoughts of harming your baby. Talk to your husband, boyfriend whoever about it too. Don't be ashamed, it happens to many women

It sounds as if you have post partum depression. You should see your OB/GYN or a psychiatrist immediately. You shouldn't wait to let this get out of control. You could not only end up hurting your baby but also hurting yourself. Go right away. Please don't wait.
