No, I always no why. It's because their fair weathered friends, which aren't really friends to begin with. It's better off they did leave, cause who wants people like that in your life anyhow.

Yes, someone I was friends with for years from high school on into our early 30's, just suddenly stopped talking to me. I hadn't lived in the same city as her for over ten years, so there wasn't anything that went on between mutual friends or gossip or such that would make her stop talking to me. I went back to that city a few years ago for a convention and made time to stop and visit with her, and she was civil, but didn't go out of her way to spend time with my daughter or me. I still don't know why she stopped talking to me, but I figure it's her problem. I know I didn't do anything wrong that would cause the breakup of the friendship.

I am guilty of writing off some people in my life without giving an explaination as to why. It's definitley not a good practice, but when I've had enough, I have no problem cutting ties and moving on.

Yes. This happened many years ago, and every now and then I still wonder what happened. I'm over it, and of course I have moved on with my life. But if I happen to think about her I'll sometimes try to figure out if it was something I did, or if we just grew apart. Oh well ... My life continues. :)

sometimes our perception of things is very off,,try to find out if you care about this person what went on without being to abrupt and somehow maintaining some dignity, it could be something happened in her or his life that you are totally unaware of,,,a phone call works, and if they do not return your call,,then let them go,,,hard as that is,,,

Yeah, I kept on trying to call her periodically, but she never called me back. I think she just got too wrapped up with her boyfriend now husband or maybe he didn't like me or something.

yes. and if that person refuses to let you know why, u let them go. true friends try to work out any differences that may arise not just walk away.
