I saw that Sony has Mylo a handheld device to surf wireless on internet and check email also make phone calls I think. I was thinking of something similar but a bigger screen. Anybody seen or used a Sony Mylo? What did you think?

Look for computers with at least 200M RAM and a lan connection do not worry about harddrivespace. Look for a system that is around 2GIG processor. I would even look through places that sell old computers if I could. Try emachines at walmart. Hardware is inexpensive. Software is expensive. You don't need office, excel or any of the microsoft addons. usually it will come with works instead.

I have a Sony ultraportable laptop (T-150) that's a few years old. It's got a 10" screen and weighs 2 pounds. I use it to surf and check Email when I travel. I'd rather use that than the Mylo because it's just plain easier to type! Mylo is really meant for 'on the go' use rather than mobile computing and I prefer to have the option to watch movies when I'm traveling. I don't trust internet phone capabilities quite yet, either. However, the price on the Mylo is much lower than what I paid for my Sony. You could probably get a used ultraportable on the cheap though.

Get a Palm TX. It's a PDA with WiFi and Bluetooth built in. It will work well for you if all you want to do is browse the Web and check e-mail, and it will be a lot cheaper than a laptop.
