O.K. I don't want to sound stupid or anything, but I'm 14 years old, andn i still havn't goten my period -- maybe. Since Yesterday, everytime i pee [which is frequent now since yesterday for some reason] at the very end i get almost like a burning sensation, but not really burning. I dont know how to describe it, anyway, and then when I wipe some blood gets on the toilet paper, but it's not a lot, and it never drips into the toilet. Its not enough to have to use a pad or tampon, but what is it? I'm confused, please help! Thanks!

First of all, lots of girls get their first period after their 14th birthday. It's not unusual at all.

From what you describe, the burning urination sounds more like a bladder infection. It's possible you are having a light period, or you could be having some blood in your urine.

You should talk to your mom and see a doctor soon. If you do have a bladder infection, the buring pain will get worse. There is medicine that will clear up the infection and stop the pain.

Until you can see the doctor, drink plenty of water. I know it sounds weird, but the more water you drink, the less the pain because the stuff in your pee that hurts will be diluted. Some people find cranberry juice helps.

Your period shouldn't burn. If you urinate frequently and have burning (or feeling uncomfortable) is usually an indication of a bladder infection. You should see the doctor right away to take care of that. I didn't get my period until I was 14 and you will know when you get it because there will be enough blood to have to need to wear protection. Go and see your doctor and in the mean time make sure you drink pleanty of water to dilute your urine (to make it less concentrated). The doc will also tell you to drink cranberry juice.

Drink a bunch or water and cranberry juice just in case it is a bladder infection, and tell your mom what's going on. Considering that you need to pee more frequently, with a sort of bladder spasm after you empty your bladder, it could very well be an infection. You may need antibiotics to clear it up.
Don't worry...just get it treated.

Sounds like you may have a mild urinary tract infection. You need to tell your mother or father and get to the doctor for some antibiotics.

There's nothing wrong with not having your period at 14. You will start when your body is ready.

Honey I had that same thing happen to me when I was 13 years old. Don't let it get worse! It sounds like a UTI. Bleeding, burning and frequent urination are all symptoms of a kidney infection or a bladder infection.

Tell your mom, dad, or whoever has raised you your symptoms and ask them to take you to a doctor to have it treated!

Talk to your mom, or another trusted adult. It could be your period, but if it was just your period, there would be no burning. The burning and blood could be a sign of a serious bladder infection. You need to talk to someone in person about this to be sure of what is going on.

Sounds like you have a UTI of some sort---have your parents take you to a doctor.
Periods happen at all different times for young women. Most get it between 11-13 years of age, but some get it much later. My sister did not get hers until she was 19 years old. Everyones body is different.

The burning your feeling might be caused by an infection. You should probably see a doctor just incase you have an infection. Tell him/her about the blood also. Don't worry, its natural.

Go to the Doctor, it sounds to me like you have a urinary tract infection....the longer you wait, the more painful it will get, so go ASAP.
