Most babies don't like tummy time. My daughter didn't. You only need to do it for short times anyway. It helps if you get down there with her and entertain her a little. And don't worry about the rolling over. My daughter started doing it around 4 months.

Are you getting down on her level with her? It could be she feels like she is missing out on things.
My suggestion, get her on the tummy time mat and you get on the floor on your belly with her. Read her books clap your hands sing songs and rattle some toys around with her. Hopefully your deeper involvement with the tummy time will help her to relax more and have longer tummy time than the day before.
Good Luck!

If you have a full mirror around or one that can be lowered, put the baby in front of a mirror so they can look at themselves. This is the only way my friend can get her four month old to be happy on his tummy. Good luck.

You need to put your Baby on their tummy for just short periods at a time a few times a day. It is important that they get the tummy time, not as important that they enjoy it. It is hard to hear them cry for a few minutes but you know they aren't being hurt so you have to tough it out. 5-10 minutes of tummy time a few times a day is enough.

When she cries, pick her up! *lol*
Ok, if you are concerned that she doesn't roll over this is what I did (this only works if you are breastfeeding). Push your bed up against the wall or otherwise block off one side. Lay the baby down on that side of the bed (not right on the edge). Lie down on the other side of the bed and take out the boob. That was the only thing that would motivate my son.
BTW once she can roll over she will probably never stay on her belly again! Mine didn't he hates being on his belly. He will sit, he will stand, he will fly, and he will get carried around, but he will not lay on his belly. (BTW he finally crawled at 8 months, the day after he learned to pull himself up by the furniture and walk around the room holding on to things) See before he could walk, why crawl, nothing better over there. But once you learn to walk around, you gotta crawl to something you can pull yourself up on!
We knew he could crawl, he would do it if you forced him, for an inch or two. But it is all a question of motivation

i had that problem so i would lie on the couch with my son and he was on his tummy. i was on my back.. he got his tummy time while having some bonding time with mom.. it worked really good...
or i got on the floor right in front of him with some toys and played.. since you only need to do it for shot periods of time a day..

Hello,
Yeah, you just have to do tummy time with her everyday for the same time. My twins also hated tummy time, but my hubby and I did it everyday to get them familiar with seeing the world in a differnet way.
We also had to prepare them for eventually crawling.
Are you also laying your baby on your legs or ground and exercising her legs and arms? She will need to have strength in her arms and legs for crawling.
Hope this helps you................. : - O

What a mother!!! Why can't you respect your daughter's wishes? What makes you think she does not know what she wants. Her age has nothing whatsoever to do with here awarness and/or needs/desires. If you do not learn this lesson now you will make you and your daughter's life miserable.
