I'm 20 and like 5'3 and 1/2" inch or something ridiculous like that but i can't find jeans that are the right length to save my life.

I've tried American Eagles/Aero, stores like that, but their regular styles are about 2 inches too long and their short styles are like 1 1/2" too short.

I've also taken some pairs to the local tailors but I never seem to like how they come back looking.

Is anyone else in the same situation as me, and if you are, where do you buy jeans? i'm desperate!

Buy them in the petite section.

I am 5'1 and I always seem to find perfect fitting jeans at Express and Gap.

I have bought other pairs that were too long, but I figured I could get them hemmed up. Of course, they come back not looking the same, they lose the shape or something. So I don't buy long jeans anymore.

Yes! you would think the designers would open their eyes and realize there is a whole swarm of shorter people that want to look hot in jeans too!
It all depends on your butt size, hips, thighs too, but here's what I've found on my jean hunts:
Tilt from PacSun is not bad, however most of their styles are pretty plain/boring
Express short sizes are sometimes ok depending on the style it may fit different
Angels short sizes are awesome (found them at Macy's.. the brand Angels, not Angel Jeans)
Some jeans come out perfect once they get shrunk in the dryer
If all else fails, grab the high heels! =)

I am 5'2 and have the same problem. I have found that no matter were I get jeans from they are too long. I have to wear pumps will all of my jeans (good thing it is in style). Bad thing about that is that you can't have a casual day of jeans and tennis. for days like that I have to wear nit pants with the matching jacket sort of thing :) back to the question I have found the best jeans at Gap and Old Navy.

omg i am like the exact same size as you!! i have the same problem. i usually get american eagle, but like you said they are either a little too short or way too long. yesterday i got a pair of jeans at hollister. i got a 1 R and they fit pretty good. they are a little long but no too bad.

another place you might want to try is charlotte russe. their prices are really good and they have short sizes that are a pretty good length.

good luck finding a great pair that are a good length!!!

I have short legs and I get my jeans at Pacsun, they're short lengths seem to be shorter than other stores "short" lengths. And also, I've noticed that Aero's jeans are very strange; I tried on two pairs of the exact same jeans once, the same size and inseam, and one pair was longer on me than the other pair, so when you go to Aero try on more than one pair of the same exact kind, sounds crazy, but I've noticed it.

So know what you mean .... im a model and it seems everything is for tall people, at least thats what it seems. If your curvy try southpole jeans, average try Tilt jeans available at pacsun. You could also try jeans called Citizens of all humanity there on the splurge of your wallet but mmm.. there comfy and just the right length girl... good luck :]

I'm 5'1" and I find jeans at Gap (ankle length) or Levi's (short length). If I can find jeans that fit me, so can you. You might be looking in the wrong stores. I would never be able to buy jeans at the stores you mentioned.

i would try to find jeans at Kmart or Walmart that have 3 different sizes in one. Like a 5 short, average, or long. try each size until u find the perfect one.

i'm in the same exact situation.
petites are the only thing that fit , but i absolutely hate the styles.
i have a high waist and short, thick legs.
women who have helped me dress say i need to wear skirts (my top and bottom totally different sizes) but i don't like to be cold so that's not going to happen in the winter.

wear heals!
