any way he was telling me that before football games, his coach tells him to masterbate, it apparently helps, but why would massterbation help him play football, he only master bates because his coach tells him to but he told me he doesntreally like it that much and he doesnt feel right after, like he did something wrong.
is there anything i can tell him for advice, anything will help as long as it not a joke???

His coach probably told him to jerk off because it helps release the stress... I think jerking off is good and healthy. Nothing wrong with it and you should tell him soo. If there is any kind of attraction to him,,, you should ask if he is just trying to feel you out if you were interested. Sometimes guys are just super shy and if they are into a girl they have funny and dumb ways to show it. It could be his weird way of saying... I'm into you. I dunno. but jerking off does help the stress and I really doubt he doesn't like it... it feels good and your release the tension. Men have like over 100 thoughts of sex and hard ons during a day.

Just tell him if he feels uncomfortable doing it ..then don't. The thought of masturbation prior to a sporting event is said to help the athlete be more focused on the game and to help relieve tension. It seems like this is making your friend uncomfortable and he should by all means just not do it. I'm sure it was a suggestion from the coach and not a direct order. It's not like he would ever know if your friend did or didn't. Good luck.

i have heard this before from friends and a boyfriend (trying to use this as an excuse for a quickie before games). It is a personal preference that some people say releases tension and thus helps them to perform and focus better. But, everyone is different...
Above everything, your friend's high school coach should NOT be encouraging him to masturbate...bottom line that is sexual harassment. Tell him to ignore the coach if possible, but if the 'encouragement' continues by the coach he needs to report it to someone he trusts that is in authority at the school.

It is his body, he has the right to do what he wants with it. If he does not want to masterbate (though there is nothing wroong with it--) then he shouldn't do it. It is his choice, not his coach's. If the coach is asking players if they have masterbated, then the coach is a pervert and needs to be reported to the principal. A teacher (coach) asking teen boys to masterbate is something he is doing to just get off on himself. Really sick to do. Since most guys relish their masterbation, getting told it is ok and that you should do it probably hasn't elicited very many complaints, and none have ever questioned it. There is no medical proof that masterbation, or failure to masterbate before sports is good or bad. Has no effect whatsoever.

This has been discussed for many years. Some coaches say to not let the players have sex before a big game. Some players say having sex minutes before the game helps.
Either way, the coach should not be telling one of his players to do this. I take it this is High School? If so, someone should report the pervert of a coach. That is just BS to tell someone to do that.
Now if the kid enjoys this and is just telling you this to get attention, then there is no issue.

Okay first off it is inappropriate of his HIGH SCHOOL coach to even suggest such a thing.
That said, regulating sexual activity before sports is a well known practice. Masturbation causes his body to release testosterone and other "male" hormones, which boost his competitive drive and also alter his brain chemistry to make him more focused on competition. Regulating sex before a game is particularly common in professonal soccer.
Ultimately, like I said, it's not right for his coach to tell him to do things like that. In some states that would be grounds for firing. He should do what he thinks is right, not what his coach tells him to do.

I guess the rush you get from it would sorta help you in sports.. I've heard this statement before. But if your friend doesn't like doing it, then tell him not too, and see how he plays then. I'm sure the game won't be lost because he didn't get off before the game. You should never feel forced to do something you don't enjoy doing... that's peer pressure and very uncool of an adult to press a student to masturbate to enhance his football abilities.

The coach's behaviour is totally unacceptable. It sounds like he may even be a pervert. He should be reported to the school ( even if it has to be done anonymously). Masturbation and football have nothing in common

Just by telling him to masturbate, the coach is sexually harassing him. Your friend should feel uncomfortable doing it upon request ... and he should report it.
There's nothing wrong with masturbation - but it should be done when you want to do it, not when someone tells you that you have to do it.
