i can't figure out a way to send my payment to a product i ordered from the U.S.. I tried the post office but then someone told me that the philippines post office only accept letters, anything besides the letter will be confiscated. so i was afraid they might confiscate my money. and i am also quite doubtful if the philippine post office is trustworthy when it comes to money considering the corruption here in the philippines.i also asked LBC and DHL but then they said it would cost me 1200php, and i don't have that much money. does western union have door to door service? or is there any other way to send money abroad?? by the way, i don't have a bank account or a credit card, i don't know if they would give me an account since i am just 17. tnx guys..

Western Union and Money Gram are best for sending money abroad.

Western Union is probably the best for your situation. You can be any age to send money through Western Union and they won't ask for proof of age or anyhing. As for door to door service, they don't do that. But it should be simple enough to find a Western Union location. They are pretty much everywhere, and you could probably find them at any convenience or general store in the Philippines. They are totally reliable, and there should only be a handling fee of about $10 USD if you are only sending 1200 PHP. Also, it is super fast. After you send the money, it should only take 15 minutes untill the receiver can go pick it up. Alot better than sending through mail or courier. Good Luck!!

I believe that you can give Western Union cash and they will make out a money transfer for you and send it to the US company for you for a fee. You get the receipt that says you paid X dollars.

You can also try the bank. I don't know about the Phillpines but banks in North America, Australia, and Europe offer a "money order" which is like a travellers check. It specifies how much it is for and who it is for, and then you send them that instead of cash.

The post office will treat the money order as just a regular letter, or you can send it via DHL, UPS, or Fedex if you don't trust the post office there.

And even if some corrupt mail sorter opens your letter and steals the money order, they can never cash it because it is made out to a party in the US.

You can make a bank draft through a foreign exchange company. This is just a regular cheque for the company you are ordering from withdrawn from the account of the foreign exhange company in some US bank. There would be no use for the Philippines post service to conficate this cheque, because they cannot cash it.
There's another alternative which I don't know if it is available or not in the Philippines, but I know that it is available in other countries. It is wht you can call a prepaid credit card. It is just a regular credit card, but instead of paying after you purchase, you pay for the card with some credit on it and use it like a normal credit card.
Another alternative is to find someone who has a credit card and try to arrange with him/her to pay by the card and then repay them in cash.

I think having a bank account is much better, you can send it then bank to bank. Ask your parents for assistance.

You're only 17. I think you should ask your parents to help you out.
