In the last year especially, I've watched the ranks of traditional conservatives, former cabinet members (ex: Colin Powell), fiscal conservatives, GOP leaders (ex: Gingrich), the middle-class, fundamentalists, and now even military members back away from the President's shadow. If you're a Bush-backer, what group(s) do you represent? (economically, geographical, etc.?)

I'm not a Bush-backer, but here is probably who those people are:

1. The people who genuinely believe his policies are sending the country in the right direction.
2. Staunch conservatives/Religious individuals who have never voted for anyone but a Republican and never will.
3. The people who don't pay attention or don't care enough to pay attention.

Great question! None of the answers so far given are correct except for those expressing the sentiments of the duped (christians, airplanes into bldgs, etc.). In his foreign policy, G.Bush does not represent his country or his party. He represents those who control him, the neoconservative establishment, the same ones who perpetrated 9/11 (see scholarsfor911truth.org/).

My father is one of them. Basically, since the liberal media tells nothing but lies, he gets all of his news directly from Rush Limbaugh... and since it is impossible that Rush could be misinformed or mistaken, consequently Bush can do no wrong =)

Dad is a middle-class, self-employed, married, non-college 60 year old native of the Chicago suburbs.

At least he has good taste in music.

I agree with the person who said:
Staunch conservatives/Religious individuals who have never voted for anyone but a Republican and never will.

Also, there are a lot of ignorant people in this country. They're the ones who always look for a scapegoat for all of nation's problems, such as blaming immigrants.

1. Pathetic, little cowards who like to believe that the force used against the Iraqi's by the military, by association, makes them courageous and powerful.

2. Those who are ignorant of the facts.

3. Slobbering neo-con sycophants.

4. Hardcore neo-cons hoping that their failed Middle East agenda can be resurrected.

5. Those who haven't the character to admit that they were mislead and/or simply wrong.

Those who remember history, 1939, Neville Chamberlain, Adolph Hitler. Does any of that ring a bell?

The other 2/3 that answered obviously were sleeping during history class.

i believe it is the wealthy people who get taxes breaks, religious people, and government employees. Also i remember that when i was in the military i was always told to vote republican, and maybe also military retirees. So i think that may be the 1/3.

How about those of us who really got ticked off when a bunch of fanatics flew airplanes into buildings and killed innocent people? And it's a helluva lot more than 1/3 of America, more like 4/5.
