Intel makes two models of processors, the Pentium and the Celeron. The most expensive part of a processor is the memory. So to save money, Celeron processors have a smaller memory cache built into them then a Pentium does. If you are doing things that are very memory intensive (such as video editing and some high end games) you will get more "lag" in the computer. If you are just doing e-mail, Internet, and word processing, a Celeron will be much cheaper and work great. Celeron are very common in business office cimputers because you normally do not play games on them.
