I was wondering if the Teacher's have to come up with the teaching method or do they get books on how to teach the lesson to the class. If a teacher could answers that would be great.

A little of both. I may get an idea from a workshop or a class on how to teach a lesson. I may read in a book or manual a way to present a concept. Then when I prepare the lesson for my class I modify it so that it fits my style of teaching and the needs of my students. I consider the methods that I read about and learn about to be a blueprint for me to build from rather than something for me to copy exactly.

I say it depends on what you mean by method. I teach pre-algebra and algebra, so I teach what our state standards tell me I have to teach, but it is up to me to decide the way in which I teach the lessons. Personally, I try to come up with projects that involve the students in the learning process. Sometimes they don't even know that they are "learning algebra" until after the fact. There are undoubtedly teachers who use the book, teach from the book, and just do what the teacher's edition tells them to do -- warm ups, etc. I think that every teacher has to come up with his/her own personal style, and determine what will work best with a particular group of students.

Hope this helped!

Well this depends on the type of teacher, in Ontario, teachers must follow a set out curriculum by the Ontario Government for elementary and secondary school. Now there are still ways of teaching the curriculum in various teaching methods I am sure, so long as they follow the curriculum, sure they could get books for ideas and strategies I am sure. Now for me , I am a tutor and I develop my own teaching methods for each individual student, as each student has their own learning "style"...so different strategies must be looked at in order for the student to be most successful. I personally am always researching new ideas and concepts as I like to find unique ways to make things "click" for those I tutor. Some students are visual, some hands - on etc...so hope this answers your question.

Yes, there are teaching methods, but they vary according to the age group you are teaching. As far as I can tell, teaching efficiently depends on how artistic skills you have, how creative you are and how well you know about what you are teaching.
I am not a native english speaker and I wonder if I could convey my views to you clearly. If you email me about that,I will have learned how good I am at english. Thanks.

It's a combination of you coming up with your own and what books have to say. Basically, you do whatever works to get your students to learn and understand what you're trying to teach them
