when my computer is running and how hard my processor is working. I am pretty sure there is a programme in the Windows XP system but I don't know where.

press ctrl, shift, esc all at the same time.
That will open windows task manager

On Windows XP, press CONTROL-SHIFT-ESCAPE to bring up the Task Manager.

Under the Performance tab you will see how much memory you have, how much is in use, how much your processor is being used, as well as the pagefile usage.

The Processes tab will list the running programs and the percentage of CPU and memory they are using. You can sort the list by clicking the column names to see what is using the most.

First, you have to do the 3 finger salute. Really. At the same time press and hold for a second or two the "Control" "Alt" and "Delete" keys. In the pop up, slect the Window Task Manager. The "Performance" tab will show all kinds of neat stuff about your computer, including memory.

Hit Ctrl+Shift+Esc to run task manager. Then you can click on processes & performance tabs to see this info

ctrl+alt+del then click the performance tab...look for the physical memory and the commit charge

control-alt-delete , then click on the performance tab , the box with Physical memory- it will have total and available shown

I dunno whether there is any in-built Windows feature, which shows that, but there is a freeware called RAM Booster. Grab it from this site:
