His record is so dismal it's hard to choose just one.

The abomination we call the war in Iraq
His obsession with undermining the Constitution
Blatant abuse of power
The Patriot Act
Worldwide torture camps
No-bid contracts in Iraq
996 million dollars unaccounted for in Iraq
His denial of a relationship with Jack Abramoff
Letting bin Laden off the hook
His disgraceful handling of Katrina
Illegal wire tapping
The "WMD" misrepresentation
His unwillingness to listen to his advisers about the Iraqi war
His inability to compose two sentences without crucifying the English language

There's more, but I have to go to the bathroom and puke.

The obvious one here is the war. The justification for the war fell apart shortly after we went in there, and the ability to keep the peace has been slipping away somewhat steadily ever since. Militarily, sending in more troops will help the situation, but politically, it's very costly for this administration. If you combine all the other things that Bush has done with his Presidency, it still won't have the same political, cultural, and historical implications as what's going on in Iraq.

I think it's a tie between his not knowing the difference between a Sunni and a Shiite and what that difference might mean if the dictatorial power structure was removed. And following the Rumsfeld ideal of a "light army" even though the Generals said from the outset they needed more troops to secure the peace.

I chose those because if either of these two things would have really been considered and the reprecutions weighed out, the deficit might be lower, the troops might be out, there wouldn't have been enough time to let the civil war develop and the al-qaeda in Iraq elements to ingratiate themselves with some Iraqis and we would have avoided creating MORE terrorists.

(Going to Iraq in the first place was a huge mistake considering they had nothing to do with 9-11 or worldwide radical Islamic fundamentalism and terrorism, but that mistake would have been mitigated tremendously if he had the right number of troops and understood the innate division amongst the Iraqi people.)

Going to war. I am a green party(basically a tree-hugger) but am only against the war because:
1. No one wins a war, someone just has a greater loss
2. We will forever be in Iraq
3. The war was to finish what his daddy couldn't.

It may seem harsh but it is how I feel.

That he has trouble with critical thinking in times of disaster. That he would think of prayer circles instead of quick action to evacuate the people in New Orleans is outragous. But the lack of ability to make critical decision is a major problem.

If Bushie really believed in this war and thought it was worth all our money and young people's lives, his mistake was in not making sure that his spoiled daughters contribute in some way. What would have been the problem of them joining the services. If not that, then working in some capacity to support the troops. Those two have done nothing except drink and party.
And it would help if his pious wife apologized publicly for killing someone with her car.

His public relations. His stance of "lets accomplish stuff, I'm already re-elected so I don't need to worry about popularity, just accomplishing the right things" is detrimental to other conservative public officicials.

He was too much concerned with the running of two wars to campaign for republican candidates for congress, and we see how THAT worked out.

His worst failure was allowing The New York Times to get away with putting our troops at risk with their repeated and treasonous leaking of classified information.

Involving us in a war that was neither called for, nor well planned. Shifting focus to nation building once WMDs were not found. Refusing to realize that as bad as Sadaam was, he was probably the only person (or type of person) capable of holding together a country of such diverse and antagonistic religious and cultural backgrounds.
