Your baby is just fine. All he/she is doing is taking your iron and iron reserves from you, which would explain your low iron count. But the baby is just fine. They just want to make sure that you have enough iron for you both, thats all.

Yes. The low iron is more likely to affect your health than the baby. It is very common for pregnant women to have low iron. Don't worry about it, just take the tablets and everything will be fine.

Your baby's fine! Low iron affects you, not the baby.

Iron pills are perfectly okay to take during pregnancy. Be sure to drink plenty of water and eat a high fiber diet to prevent constipation. A healthy iron level will give you more energy by preventing anemia and, after the baby's born, it will help you recover faster.

Good luck.

The baby is fine. This happens alot in pregnancy. You're just giving all you've got to the baby. The iron pills will help. The pills may also cause constipation so drink lots of water. Congratulations.

When I was pregnant I didn't take my prenatal vitamins because they made me sick. My doctor told me that I wan't hurting the baby because she would still be getting everything she needed. He said it would just make it worse on me and that I could become anemic. So more than likely your baby is getting everything it needs. Just be sure you take those pills so that you will have enough energy to take care of your baby when it gets here.

I had to do the same thing when I was pregnant with my son...I became borderline anemic and had to start taking those pills. Baby is fine as long as you take them like your supposed to and also get calcium along with the iron (like take them with milk) because they can upset your stomach.

The Baby is fine. you are the one one that they are worried about.

My baby momma had low iron as well. My daughter came out fine and I just found out yesterday she is a 3 year old genius.
